ADAM MANN, 27, THE OLDEST - DANIEL CUMMINGS

Adam knows everything. Like a true older brother, he always has some piece of unsolicited advice from his deep well of knowledge gained from a couple extra years on the planet. He's a new dad, and super sensitive about his hot wife.

TIM MANN, 24, THE HOTHEAD - SCOTT KRUSE

Maybe it’s from all those years of being the middle child, but Tim’s got a bit of a rage issue. Priding himself on embodying pure testosterone, Tim’s first course of action is always the most violent one. When it comes to drinking, don’t try to keep up.

KEVIN MANN, 21, THE ODDBALL - ERIK STOCKLIN

Kevin is their Mom’s special boy. In every sense of the word. Pretty bad with basic social cues, he recently moved back in at home. He sees the world as glass all-the-way full. Of Hawaiian Punch. Considers himself an excellent swordsman

ALAN, 51, THE FIANCE - PETE GARDNER

There’s not much to dislike about Alan, unless he’s sleeping with your mom. He’s a bit of a square, and trying to fit in only makes it worse. Though he’s nothing like their dad, Alan is a good hearted guy who’s finally found his chance at love, and he’s willing to do anything to hold on to it.

THERESA MANN, 50s, THE MOM - TAMMY KAITZ

Theresa has spent the past decade taking care of her boys, and she’s finally taking some steps to take care of her own needs. A firecracker that can put her grown boys in their place with a look, she’s still a bit nervous about turning over a new chapter.

how it all goes down

It's the beginning of summer, and the Mann brothers are headed up to the family cabin for their annual trip to honor their late father by hanging out, getting wasted, and most likely blowing something up. A tradition dubbed Mann Camp. After Adam picks up Tim from the frat house he's president of, and Kevin from their mom's guest house that he just moved back into, the boys head up to the mountains, not thinking twice about missing their mom at the house, who, according to Kevin, is gone on a work retreat.

Upon arrival at the cabin, something seems off. As they push open the door, they see rose petals on the ground, followed by a trail of candles, and finally, in all her glory, their sweet, wholesome mother, splayed out on the bearskin rug with a come-hither look in her eyes. Everyone panics, trying to come to grips with what they've just witnessed.

TIM

Mom, why are you nude? YOU

SHOULD NEVER BE NUDE, MOM!

The back door swings open, and in walks a man they've never seen before, holding an axe and wearing nothing but a lumberjack hat, clunky boots, and a flannel shirt that barely covers his junk. Kevin recognizes him immediately as his friend Alan that sometimes has sleepovers with their mom. Chaos ensues, and in an effort to calm the panic and make his intentions known, Alan reveals that he and their mother are planning to get married, which only causes Adam and Tim to sink deeper into madness.

Once he's able to calm his murderous instincts, Tim hatches a plan to keep Alan up at the cabin under the guise of a bonding weekend, with the intention of getting rid of him for good. Theresa hesitantly agrees, and the four men are left to their own devices.

ALAN
You know what? I think that sounds
like a great idea. Spend some time
out here, maybe try to make up for
that awkward first impression. Hit
the reset button. I think that would
be great. A little men on men time.
I’d love to.

ADAM
Sorry, what’s that?

ALAN
Just breaking down some walls and
just going guy on guy. Sounds amazing.

TIM
Bro.

ALAN
Don’t you worry about a thing,
honey. The only thing that’s going
to be going on up here is just a
couple of guys taking it deep. I
can’t wait.

That night, Tim reveals to his brothers an extremely detailed map which plots out any number of violent ends for Alan. While Adam and Kevin are reluctant to join in the scheme, Tim finally manages to coerce their cooperation in putting Alan through a few 'simple tests of manhood' to prove that he's up to the challenge of replacing their dad.

Over the next few days they'll try everything they can think of to run him out of the family, but as they learn that there's more to Alan than meets the eye, they'll have to come to terms with new truths about themselves and their family.
